Garvanza, also known as Highland Park-Garvanza, is a Historic Preservation Zoned (HPOZ) neighborhood within the City of Los Angeles. It is a small sized, medium density, urban neighborhood bordered by the City of Pasadena to the North, (110) Freeway to the South and East, and Highland Park neighborhood to the West. It is also located 6.5 miles Northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.
The neighborhood received its HPOZ designation in 2010 and is an urban community consisting of single family, multi-family, apartment, and commercial properties. Many of the single family residences are of historic architectural appeal consisting of Queen Anne, Shingle, Craftsman, Mission Revival, and Tudor Revival built from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
